In this month’s tip I define what “keeping the club in front” really means, walk through the pitfalls I see most often in clinics and lessons, and give you simple checkpoints to keep your swing in sync. This summer at Golf House Academy, our camp was filled with learning, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. From fun golf games and friendly competitions to creative challenges that kept everyone smiling, there was always something new happening. Indoors meant we didn’t have to worry about the summer heat or rain, so campers could just focus on enjoying the game in a comfortable space. Our amazing summer staff and dedicated owners worked side by side to create a warm and welcoming environment where every child felt encouraged and supported. Beyond the skills, campers built friendships, learned the value of sportsmanship, and discovered that some of the best memories come from laughing and cheering each other on. Our summer 4-week league is wrapping up — thanks to everyone who battled it out on Monday and Wednesday nights. And the next one is already here:

• 📅 September League: Mondays & Wednesdays — a 4-week league starting the first week of September (no play on Labor Day Monday).

Our weekly curriculum is designed to systematically build your game, moving from the green back to the tee box. Here is what’s on the schedule for the coming weeks at Golf House Academy:

It’s time to take the skills out of the bay and onto the (virtual) grass. This week focuses on on-course strategy, mental approach, and “real-world” scoring. Coaches will guide you through shot selection and course management to help you shave strokes off your rounds.

Time to find the fairway. Driving Week focuses on tee shots and long-game fundamentals. We will work on setup, ball position, and swing mechanics to help improve your distance, accuracy, and overall confidence with the big stick.

This week emphasizes iron play and shots off the turf. Sessions will focus on achieving that elusive “ball-first” contact, managing your trajectory, and improving shot-shaping to help you become more consistent from approach distances.

Short-game scoring takes center stage. We will break down the “Technical Trinity” of Loft, Bounce, and Club Head Speed to improve your turf interaction. Golfers will work on technique, shot selection, and distance control to turn those tricky lies into easy “up-and-downs.” (Note: we’re closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day — this week’s sessions run around the holiday.)

Dedicated to building confidence and consistency on the greens. Sessions will focus on setup fundamentals, stroke mechanics, speed control, and green-reading concepts, helping you develop a reliable stroke that stays steady under pressure. Pairs perfectly with a new L.A.B. putter fitting.
